I agree with Ellen Goodman's theisis. People do define themselves by their professional work; rather than their ethnic backgrounds. The community they work in, is considered to be where they live rather than their residential homes. The evidence I have that supports this statement, is that i spend more time at work than i do at home. I am also more comfortable around my co-workers than i am around those in my community.

Why do you think you are more comfortable with people at work than in your neighborhood?
